About Monica (she/her)

Thanks for visiting my page. ALL ARE WELCOME HERE.

What its like to work with me:

I hope you will find it supportive, and fun! I really enjoy laughing in my sessions with clients (when appropriate of course). It’s a privilege to hear stories of pain and heartache, distress and love. We all deserve some time to let it all out, and be heard.

What “kind” of therapy do I offer?

I enjoy utilizing Grief and Loss therapies (such as Warden’s 4 Tasks, Dual Process Model, addressing Complicated Grief), ACT, CBT, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping) and process work or talk therapy as it is often referred to. My experience tells me the greatest impact comes from finding what works for each client, not declaring one theory and never veering off the path (being eclectic). Your therapeutic relationship is key to making change. I like to check in with my clients every so often to make sure they are really getting their needs met.

Monica off the clock:

If I could visit the beach each day I would. I enjoy non structured time with family and friends. I like listening to music, dedicating time to a good book (non-therapy books!), searching out good lobster rolls (I was born and raised in Maine), challenging myself with new recipes, and traveling. I’d love to pat your dog and snuggle your cat. I love Fall, I’m a new fan of the Seattle Reign (never played soccer, still learning all the rules!) and white chocolate IS NOT chocolate.

Are you in need of counseling services?

If you are looking for support, but unsure where to start, a free consultation is a great way to begin. We can determine if I’m a good fit for you. If I’m not, I’ll provide you with some referrals to help point you in the right direction.

How do you provide your services?

All my sessions are via Telehealth. As a licensed WA provider, this means I can serve anyone from Seattle to Spokane!

Currently my private practice days are Wednesdays and Friday afternoons.

What should I do if I’m having a mental health emergency, or I’m in crisis?

Present yourself to the nearest emergency room for support or call 911 if you are having a mental health emergency. Additionally, you may call the national suicide and crisis line of 988. Crisis Connections at 866-427-4747 serves King, Pierce, Clark, Skamania, Klickitat, Grant, Okanogan, Chelan and Douglas Counties. Crisis Services Line at 800-584-3578 serves Snohomish County.

Do you take insurance?

I am a private pay practitioner, and do not take insurance. It may be useful to check your insurance for out of network benefits (OON) regarding mental health coverage. Additionally, information about the Good Faith Estimate can be provided.

What are your current session rates?

For individual sessions:

Intake/Diagnostic Sessions- $150

50-55 min sessions- $130

45 min sessions- $100

I do not currently have any sliding scale spaces.
